The Iceland diet – clearly native!

Skyr is one of several dietary staples in Iceland. Locally produced foods are now supplemented with fruits and vegetables from places with longer growing seasons. Yet the core of the Icelandic diet remains solid.
  • Sustainable fishing from the near-arctic waters
  • Amazingly flavourful free-range lamb and beef
  • A variety of cheeses, butter, and milk products
  • Seasonal berries and wild products
  • Dark rich breads
And, as a delightful bit of trivia, Iceland is Europe’s Number One grower of … wait for it …. bananas! No kidding!
